Daniel 9:24-27, Last Days Politics

We have studied these things in the past.  Here are pretty basic outlines, first of the major accomplishments of Jesus Christ when He returns.

THE PURPOSES OF DANIEL'S 70TH WEEK (Dan. 9:24-27)

1.       To finish the transgression.

2.       To make an end of sins.

3.       To make reconciliation for iniquity.

4.       To bring in everlasting righteousness.

5.       To seal up the vision and prophecy.

6.       To anoint the most Holy.

The rule and reign of sin will come to an end in His kingdom when He rules in righteousness and peace and with a rod of iron.  The world will see the application of the work of the cross to society.  And every prophecy that is outstanding concerning the Messiah will be fulfilled.

Now, here is a reminder concerning the end-time politics.  Various international confederations will be used by God to bring the armies of the earth to battle against His Anointed.

·       The King of the North, Ezek. 38:1-6.  This alliance seems to be led by the leader of Russia.

·       The King of the South, Ezek. 38:5; Dan. 11:40-45.  Some of these nations are currently “friendly” to Israel through the “Abraham Accord.”

·       The Armies of the East, Rev. 16:12; 9:13-16. The size of this Asian army is said to be 200,000,000.

·       God's use of the Gentiles to refine Israel.  Zech. 11:15-17; 13:7-9.  The foolish and wicked shepherd (antichrist) will, in God’s plan, make war against His Shepherd and Companion, the Messiah.
