Read Isaiah 46:5-11
VII. The
Bible has an unmatched record of fulfilled prophecy. How can a person know with certainty what will
happen tomorrow, much less years down the road?
They cannot unless they have the ability to see the end from the
beginning, a trait that belongs to God.
It is so critical that we know with certainty that what we call the Word of God is in fact from God. In Old Testament times the Law of Moses
stated that if a man called himself a prophet of God but his words did not come
true he was to be put to death. If you
think about it, that makes a lot of sense.
If you read the Bible you will find one after another prophecies made
that are fulfilled. Here is a chart with
a few of these that you can study out yourself.

This is an important evidence of the Bible’s
uniqueness. There are many more of these
already fulfilled prophecies. But there are also many yet to be fulfilled prophecies.
What those from the past tell us is that the Bible can be trusted to
give us an accurate picture of the future.
Most religions have something to say about the future, including
predictions in Judaism and Islam of the future appearances of a Messiah.
Which is to be believed? The one
with a record of fulfilled prophecy! And
that is the Bible.
