I left the above list there, not because we did any of those things, but just as information about things to see around the Old City.  You can look those up and see that they are.

While it was another tiring day … lots of walking around Jerusalem … some of us finished it by walking down to the Wall tonight to watch the crowds.  The day started with breakfast and devotions, combining Rev. 15:3-4 and Ezek. 39:21-29.  Great reminders that are pertinent to Yad Vashem.

We did make it to Hezekiah’s Tunnel today.  But #1 was right on time, almost. So we went to the City of David (Nat’l Park, major archeological dig).  Watched a great movie on the history of Jerusalem.  As usual the Israeli’s recognize the Bible as accurate history so it is always a part of the story of this land.

Then we descended to the Gihon Spring and into the tunnel.  It is quite narrow, narrower than the last time we went through it. 😊 Nice cool water that you walk in for almost 600 yards.  And some of the tunnel is a bit low, low enough to bend over a bit but no need to crawl.  From the end of the tunnel, which empties into the Pool of Siloam, we took the shuttle to the top, then hiked back up to the Dung Gate and wall area.

A couple of the guys who missed it yesterday went to Yad Vashem for a couple hours.  The rest of us went up the southern side of the Old City, through the Jewish and Armenian quarters to Jaffa Gate.  Some of the folks found some great buys in the Armenian quarter, things they had their eyes on throughout the trip but wanted to wait until Jerusalem.

Then we had lunch at Christ Church bistro and then made our way back to our hotel for nap-time. YES!  Back out for supper at Notre Dame, a Catholic hotel that has a great bistro called the Allegro.  Everyone appreciated that.

From there the three of us went to the Wall while the others went back to begin packing and get an early bedtime.  And now I am going to get prone for awhile.
