Having completed our “Introduction to the Prophets” we are now planning on posting a variety of what I like to call “odds and ends.” These will come from the OT prophetical books. We have already posted verse-by-verse studies of all the prophetic books. So the first thing will be to let you know where you can find these for the “Major Prophets.”

And now, we have a quiz! Well, sort of. It’s a “who am I” quiz? I’ll give you a list of clues, and you see
how soon you think you know the answer.
I’ll give you the answer tomorrow.
WHO AM I?
1.
I was a prophet in Judah.
2.
I called Christ a “Branch.”
3.
I prophesied against all the nations around Judah.
4.
I was the first to refer to Christ as a “precious Cornerstone.”
5.
I prophesied Messiah as the “Servant of the LORD.”
6.
I prophesied “when you pass through the waters, I will
be with you.”
7.
I promised “peace like a river.”
8.
I promised “no peace for the wicked.”
9.
I invited men to come, reason together, saying, “though
your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.”
10.
I had a son, Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.
11.
One of my favorite questions was, “To whom will you
compare the LORD?”
12.
I invited men to “come to the waters.”
13.
I saw the LORD high and lifted up.
14.
I prophesied the exact name of Israel’s deliverer from
Babylon over 200 years before he was even born.
15.
I was a friend and prophet to Hezekiah.
16.
I predicted Christ’s virgin birth.
17.
I answered God’s call, “Here am I LORD, send me.”
18.
I prophesied, “Unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is
given.”
19.
I said, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind
is stayed on Thee.”
20.
I promised that “those who wait on the LORD will renew their
strength.”
21.
I prophesied Messiah as a “Man of sorrows.”
22.
My writings form the second longest book in the Bible.
